Hauntology

Monelise began her Masters studies in Popular Music at Goldsmiths University in 2018. It was here that she created and premiered her live show «Hauntology», which was subsequently toured to the Edinburgh Fringe 2019.

Attending press described Monelise’s live performance of «Hauntology» as «a haunting, stunning musical performance in which the performer and audience become one».

musical career

Between 2020-2022, Monelise released a series of singles including «Clockwork Heart», «Insane» and «Silver Lake», all of which have steadily circulated through thousands of Spotify playlists. During this time period, Monelise also developed as a professional songwriter and co-wrote songs for rising international artists including John Linhart and Joan Alasta.

What’s expected in the future

In Autumn 2023 she is set to release her second studio album, «Sanctify My Love», which premieres a more intimate, experimental and cinematic sound. The recently released singles «Blackbird’s Breath» and «Selene» have already given listeners an insight into the incredibly inventive mind of Monelise, an influential independent artist who continues to pave the way for modern experimental alt-pop music.
